XLPE insulated power cables are widely used in urban power grids, mines and factories because of their excellent thermal-mechanical properties, excellent electrical properties and chemical corrosion resistance, simple structure, light weight and no drop limitation.
The insulation-crosslinking polyethylene of cable is a kind of crosslinking polyethylene which transforms linear molecular structure polyethylene into three-dimensional network structure by chemical and physical methods, thus greatly improving the thermomechanical properties of polyethylene and thus maintaining excellent electrical properties.
The maximum rated operating temperature of XLPE insulated power cable conductor is 90 C, which is higher than PVC insulated and PE insulated cables, so the carrying capacity of the cable is further increased.
